Home Offices & Studies
Working from home stopped being temporary, and a desk wedged into a bedroom corner shows it. Built-in joinery gives you a study the rest of the house can live with.
The constraints on a home office are dull and completely decisive: where the light falls, where the camera points, where the noise comes from and where the power is. We plan around those first, then design storage that puts the working day out of sight when it ends.
Most London homes have no spare room to give up, so much of this work is finding the space: a landing, a wide hallway, an alcove beside a chimney breast, the under-used end of a bedroom. Bespoke joinery is what makes those places workable.
We build desks to the right height for the chair you actually use, design the cable routes in, and light the room for screens rather than for atmosphere alone.

Common questions
Can you fit a study into a room that is already in use?
Usually, yes. Landings, alcoves and the ends of bedrooms are the most common locations, and joinery can zone them so the room still reads as a bedroom.
Do you design for video calls?
It comes up on nearly every project now. We think about the background, the direction of the light and the acoustics when we site a desk.
